LAUREN ALAYNE
Hello! I'm Lauren Alayne, Makeup Artist and Beauty Educator. I have over 15 years of experience in the beauty industry & beauty education field. Educating my clients is a huge passion of mine; so, whether you booked a makeup application appointment, booked a 1-on-1 consultation, or attended one of my classes, you are going to leave with new knowledge of something makeup and skincare related.
My work has been featured in publications like Essence Magazine & Black Enterprise, I have done makeup for numerous New York Fashion Week shows, and I was the key makeup artist for BET's Black Girl Rocks Ad Campaign (2018).
I am a huge supporter of Black Women Owned Businesses, including makeup and skincare brands. I thoroughly research any new brand I am introducing to my clients to ensure its efficacy and durability.

1. How far in advance should I book my bridal makeup?
It's recommended to book your bridal makeup at least 6-12 months in advance to ensure availability, especially during peak wedding seasons. This also allows time for a trial session to perfect your look.
2. Do you offer makeup trials before the event?
Yes, I highly recommend scheduling a makeup trial before any special event (i.e. a wedding). This helps me understand your preferences and allows you to see the final look, ensuring you're completely satisfied on the big day.
3. What types of makeup products do you use?
I use high-quality, professional-grade makeup products that are long-lasting, suitable for all skin types, and safe for sensitive skin. I tailor product choices based on your skin's needs and the occasion. A majority of the products that I use are Black women owned brands as well.
4. Can you accommodate large bridal parties or group bookings?
Yes, I offer makeup services for bridal parties and group bookings. Depending on the size of your group, I can arrange additional artists to ensure everyone is ready on time with stunning results.

I’m not someone who usually wears a lot of makeup and I had Lauren do a natural/soft glam look for my baby shower since I’d be taking pictures. The completed look was what I would consider ABSOLUTE PERFECTION!!! Lauren’s execution was exactly what I had asked for. Amazing is an understatement to Lauren's skills, work ethics and personality. I do not wear makeup often but wanted to look a bit more polished for an event I was attending.
